Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor and a member of the SSC's board of directors since 2011, is the Co-Artistic Director Founding of the new theatre company Speech of Fire. She has been the artistic director for Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 through the year 2019. In her role as the Artistic Director of SSC she served as the company's composer/musician/text coach, as well as set/costume/music design. While she was usually the leader within her acting ensemble, in her last season alongside SSC King Lear, she became a director and lighting designer.
